Visually Impaired Bowlers
Sight impaired report by Donn Sherry To NLBC Board Meeting July 12, 2010
· Our 10 members continue to play each Tuesday morning with the support of at least 15 club members.
· We have just finished hosting the BC Championships for the Blind.
· Randy Fred won Gold.
·Iris Ferguson won Silver (losing a 3 hour gold medal game 21 – 20) and
·Shirley Cole won Bronze.
The hot weather got the best of Kendrick Wall forcing him to settle for 4th place in his category. Our sighted club members performed remarkably well.
Len Gafka was our Umpire for the 3 days, We were well supplied with Markers who did an excellent job. The greens were in excellent shape and the equipment was available and set up for us each session.
Mona Haddad assembled a great crew and fed the group with 3 delicious lunches. Thanks to Dave Scobie for his barbecue skills.
Randy Fred and Shirley Cole may be attending the BBAC Nationals in Winnipeg July 20 – 27.

On May 25th there will be visiting bowlers from Victoria, Qualicum, the lower mainland and Kelowna taking part in our Mixed Pairs Event. We will bowl 2 games starting at 10:30 and serve lunch between.

will be hosting the Canadian Blind Sports Association
